Contemporary Art and Photography in Paris: a personal view

As remarked in the introduction, my site is meant to provide a personal perspective on some aspects of contemporary art and photography in Paris. Although the site will remain far from encyclopedic, and will show easily identifiable wide gaps, I do hope it will useful to the English-speaking Parisian, or to a wider audience that wants to get an idea of what is going on on the Parisian contemporary art scene these years. The site will be updated irregularly, and will grow over time to become more encompassing. It is my conviction that contemporary art changes, but not extremely rapidly, and that in the course of a couple of years, my assembled remarks should give a good andbiased picture of contemporary art in Paris.

The site contains links to Artists that exhibit(ed) in Paris, thus giving the visitor a fair idea of the cross section of Parisian interests with the international art scene. Once in a while, I add a personal comment on a particularly striking aspect of an artist's work. The site also discusses the many Places that exhibit contemporary art and photography, and discusses their merits and disadvantages. We also comment on some particularly well-known Theoretical work on the subject, in a dry tone.

It has struck me that most of my visitors were linked to my site via the excellent YAHOO search-engine. I invite them to link to my site, in order for their fellow-surfers using Google to stand a chance of finding this resource. Thanks !
